Andrew Zittell is the founding partner and LPL Registered Principal of Yerba Buena Financial Partners. A skilled financial professional with a passion for helping clients build, protect, and distribute their wealth, he is the firm’s securities principal and compliance officer. He also serves as co-portfolio manager for the firm and is responsible for product due diligence. With more than two decades of experience in financial services, Andrew’s background is in retirement, insurance, and estate planning. He enjoys helping family-owned businesses, individuals who need assistance with estate planning, and widows and widowers.
A second-generation financial and client services specialist, Andrew began his career in the life insurance field, then working as an Assistant General Agent with both Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and Phoenix Home Life Insurance Company. In 1989, he was named Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company’s Rookie of the Year; he is also a Life and Qualifying Member, Court of the Table for the Million Dollar Round Table. An active member of a number of professional associations, Andrew has served as the Past Education Chair for the San Francisco Life Underwriters Association and has been an instructor for the Life Underwriter Training Council.
Born and raised in New York, Andrew currently lives in San Francisco with his wife Mia. An avid mountaineer and past inter-collegiate cyclist, Andrew also enjoys local and worldwide travel and adventure. When he’s not spending time enjoying the great outdoors, his hobbies include art, restoring antiques, caring for animals, gardening, and reading. Andrew is also active in several community and volunteer organizations, including Special Olympics International, Congregation Emanu-El, and Waldorf Middle School (where he serves as an individual mentor).
